Students are excited to be participating in a Mystery Simulation. It all began Thursday morning, when students were contacted by "Mr. Van Feisty - Owner of Dutch Delight Chocolates" to assist in creating a new chocolate recipe. Students used the ingredients (cocoa, sugar, butter, and milk) to create a secret chocolate recipe. The class voted on the best chocolate recipe and sent it to Mr. Van Feisty. However, the secret recipe was stolen. Students were asked to turn their aprons in for detective hats and have dove head first into the investigation. Over the next week students will be analyzing evidence, reading text, making inferences, and drawing conclusions.
Will they be able to crack the case? Check back soon to find out! ~ Mrs. J

Last week, students participated in a fun, hands-on experience: Bricks for Kidz. I representative came to our classroom to teach us about the Lunar Module. Students paired up and got a set of Legos to use in creating the Lunar Module. With a little teamwork, problem solving, and perseverance our Lunar Module was complete! Afterwards, students enjoyed some free build play. Here are all the pictures from our fun day! ~ Mrs. J
