Our first week of 4th grade was a blast! Here are a few highlights. Students arrived Wednesday morning and created an object, out of pipe cleaners, that represented something special about them. Students gathered on the class carpet to introduce themselves and share their creations. Teamwork was a major focus throughout the week. We had a puzzle building competition. Our goal was to see how fast we could build 7 puzzles. Students worked quickly to complete the puzzle at their table. Then, they moved on to help other students at different tables until all the puzzles were complete. Students completed different challenges each day. One day, we focused on speaking and active listening skills. We folded a paper football each time we asked and answered questions. Then we had 1 minute to score as many field goals as possible. We have a 1:1 student to Chrome Book ratio this year. Students logged on for the first time this year and tried out an All About Me assignment on Google Slides through our Google Classroom page.
