Students have spent the last few days in deep discussion of what they are thankful for. They created Trees of Thanks to display their gratitude. We also read some fun Thanksgiving read alouds and compared the author's perspective of each.

Our class is collecting blankets for the homeless in Syracuse. My goal is 100 blankets. I have 18 so far. The blankets can be used, but no smoke or pet hair.
Thank you for donating blankets. ~ Adelyn Students are acting as detectives in science discovering the secret solutions created by Dr. Polly Mers. The first substance we created was Gloop. We created individual samples using 2 teaspoons of water, 3 teaspoons of cornstarch, and 1 drop of food coloring. We discovered that gloop has properties of both a solid and a liquid. Next week we will create 2 more substances.
~ Mrs. J Students had a blast at our Halloween Party! Students had fun eating candy corn while making candy corn necklaces. They ate and drank lot of delicious Halloween treats. They created a chocolate bar ghost. They participated in games such as a bean bag toss and a guess the amount of candy contest. It was a great time to hang out with friends right before our Halloween Costume Parade. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible. If you haven't had a chance to donate $5 to our room reps please do. This money goes to help make parties like this one a huge success!
