While working with their committees, students determined that they wanted to add a flair of color to our classroom and they also wanted to spruce up our classroom library by creating a rainbow reading nook. They spent some time proposing the idea to the rest of the class, voting, and then looking through catalogs and making a wish list. Within a week all of the projects we posted on DonorsChoose.org were fully funded. Students received new bookshelves, new book bins, a Kindle Store & Charge Station, stools for our small group instruction table, and art supplies for the classroom.....all for FREE! Mr. Jasewicz helped to build our bookshelves and students helped to organize and colorize the classroom! Our classroom is really starting to look BEAUTIFUL thanks to our fabulous fourth graders and Donors Choose!

Students had fun reviewing how to compare fractions today with a fast paced game of WAR. Students used fraction cards to play. Each card contained a picture of the fraction on one side and the written form on the other. ~ Mrs. J
