Today, on our half day, students participated in a variety of wellness activities. They started their day off with some Yoga. Then students took a crash course in bike safety. We concluded our day with a kick ball game and free play outside.

Students worked hard over the last few weeks to create a trifold board presenting their journey through the writing process. On one side of their tri-fold board they showcased their topic selection list and their pre-writing plan. In the middle they displayed copies of their draft and one of their revising and editing versions. On the final side, they presented their final copy. These were put on display in the APR for families and friends to view during our special night. Students pulled exemplar words, phrases, and sentences from their stories to display in our garden. Students also helped in the creation of the carnival like games that appeared in the gym. Want to view more photographs and a few videos? ~ Mrs. J This week we started a new whole class novel: George Washington's Socks. After making some predictions about the book, we dove right in to the text. We have been analyzing each chapter to learn more about character traits, character motivation, setting, plot, main idea, and more. We have enjoyed reading and sharing each chapter in front of our virtual campfire. Ask your child:
