Each student got to open a present today! They closed their eyes and patiently waited for their surprise. Each student received an art set to help replenish their school supplies. They may leave them in the classroom, or bring them home to enjoy! Happy Holidays!
~ Mrs. J This morning we had a division dance party. Students each made bracelet and necklace glow sticks. We turned down the lights and up the music and danced around the classroom. When the music would stop, we'd quickly sit and solve the long division problem hidden under the circle. We also danced to various songs inbetween each long division word problem that we completed as a class. We had a great time moving and grooving as we practiced this challenging skill.
Students earned a fun pajama day for displaying kind and respectful behavior in class. Students displayed their knowledge of being kind to one another by completing a "Fill a Cup with Love" project. At the end of the day we celebrated with some hot chocolate.
Students have been learning about nonfiction text-structures. Adriana, Chris, and Brynne teamed up to create and teach a song to their fellow classmates. It is sung to the tune of "Starving" by Haylee Steinfeld. Here is a video from one of our practice sessions. |
